So I have this course at my school, XNA Developing. A few weeks ago we got to dive into developing games, and this is what we created (Windows only).
OSX Mountain Lion: Fixing Wine.
One thing that bugged me with Mountain Lion is that Apple has dropped X11 which has caused all my Wine apps to crash. Luckily there’s an easy way to fix this (unlike Rosetta which still pisses me off) and here’s how you fix it.
What’s new in Mountain Lion?
So, I finally had the courage to update my Macbook to Mountain Lion this week, and even though there isn’t really that much new stuff going (I could easily have waited) there are some clever stuff going on.
Windows Phone 7 and Microsofts student challenge.
Needless to say Iam an iPhone kind of guy. I like it simple, integrated, and flashy looking. But I have to admit, Microsoft have really changed lately. I always looked upon them as business guys, really missing the point of an esthetic and beautiful design – but things have really changed up i Redmond, and I’ve taken a look at the Windows Phone 7 and developed some apps for it.
PHP-GTFS to MySQL
I had some time off, and found the process of importing GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification – which basically is tables of public transfer information) to a MySQL database quite difficult – even through the py-gtfs-mysql repo. So I wrote my own in PHP which should be really easy to use with its WordPress-like setup interface.
A short introduction sort of thing.
